What landlords usually look at
Inside the fridge, oven, microwave and kitchen cabinets are the spots most often checked at move-out, and they're add-ons rather than part of the base price:
- Inside fridge: $100 per fridge (must be empty)
- Inside oven: $50 per oven
- Inside microwave: $25 per microwave
- Inside kitchen cabinets: $15 per cabinet (must be empty)
How to prepare
- The home should be empty or nearly empty. Moving furniture or hauling items away is not included.
- Empty the fridge and any cabinets you want cleaned inside.
- Decide how we'll get in: someone home, a key left for us, or a key kept on file.
- Leave yourself 24 hours of slack, so a shifting closing date costs you nothing to reschedule.
Common questions
Is the inside of the fridge and oven included in a move-out clean?
They're add-ons: inside the fridge is $100 and inside the oven is $50. Landlords often check inside appliances, so consider adding them. The fridge and cabinets need to be empty.
Does the home need to be empty?
Yes, empty or nearly empty. Moving furniture or hauling items away isn't included.
Can a landlord or property manager book it?
